Released in the UK on 2nd December 2005, the Xbox 360 is the successor to Microsofts hugely successful Xbox games console.
Two versions of the system were available at launch. The Core System retailed for £209.99 and came with one wireless controller. The premium version retailed for £279.99 and came with one wireless controller, a removable 20GB hard drive, headset, HD-AV cable, a silver membership to Xbox live and more.
Microsoft have improved the Xbox substantially since 2005 with todays Xbox systems not only much cheaper, they also have more features and more capabilities. The current version of the Xbox is the Xbox 360 S, which was first released in the Summer of 2010 (the S stands for Slim!). Again, two versions of the system are available. Currently the 4GB console retails for around £149.99 with no games whilst the 250GB version retails at £199.99 with no games. Most retailers have lots of bundle deals on offer, which in my opinion usually offers the best value.
