It works in a similar way to the Nintendo Wii controller except the Playstation uses a webcam to pinpoint the exact motions of the controller using light. To play a Playstation Move compatible game you require the Playstation 3 Webcam and a Playstation Move controller. A starter pack is available which includes both of these items for around £39.99.
A navigation controller is also available for around £17.99. It is shaped like the Move controller except it is used primarily to navigate menus within the game. It isn’t essential though as you can navigate using the standard PS3 games controller.
