The family gaming system! The Nintendo Wii was the first mainstream console to bring gaming to the living room. The current bundle deal retails for around £159.99. Included with the console is a Wii Remote Controller and two games: Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.
Other than the colour, the black and white versions of the system are identical, so it comes to which one suits your living room or bedroom setup.

The Wii will be forever be known for it’s iconic white casing, which it has used it since it’s launch. Small, classy but still powerful, the Wii is a great system for playing with friends. |
The black version was only released in the UK in late 2009. Since the majority of modern televisions come in black its a good choice for those who want to place the Wii in their living room. |
The Wii is known for it’s many accessories, such as the Wii Board, classic gaming controller and Wii Steering Wheel. |
About the same size of three DVD cases, the Nintendo Wii (pronounced Wee) was officially launched in the UK on December 8, 2006. Retailing at £179, the Wii was marketed towards a different market as the Xbox 360, which was released the year before. There was initially a shortage of the console within the first year of it’s release, which pushed up demand for the system greatly.
Less powerful than it’s rivals, the Nintendo Wii has gone on to be the best selling seventh generation games console. What the Wii has lacked in power, it has more than made up for in the quality of it’s games. Many of the consoles successful games have been based on simplicity, such as the hugely popular Wii Sports. Due to this, it has been criticised as being less of a gaming system and more of a home entertainment system.
In part this criticism is justified as Nintendo has concentrated more on party games and children’s games than serious gaming options, though there is no denying how fun the Wii can be.
Th Wii hasn’t really dropped in price since it’s release. The current bundle is around £20 cheaper than it’s launch price, though it does include Wii Motion Plus for extra controller sensitivity and an additional game.
